About Compensation.live
Is Compensation.live a law firm?
No. Compensation.live is a legal marketing service owned by MassTortMarketingAgency.com. We do not give legal advice. We help you check whether you may qualify for an active claim and, if you do, connect you with a licensed plaintiff law firm.
Does it cost anything?
No. The claim review is free and there is no obligation. Law firms we work with usually handle these cases on contingency, meaning they are paid a share of any recovery and nothing if there is none. Confirm the fee terms with the firm before you sign.
Who will contact me after I submit a form?
A case specialist or a law firm handling your claim type, by phone, text or email. The organisations that may receive your information are listed on our Partners page.
Is my information kept private?
Your submission is sent over an encrypted connection and shared only with the organisations evaluating your claim. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what we collect and who receives it.
Claims and lawsuits
What is a mass tort?
A mass tort is a group of individual lawsuits brought by many people harmed by the same product, drug or conduct. Unlike a class action, each person keeps their own case and any compensation reflects their own injuries.
How is a mass tort different from a class action?
In a class action one or a few people represent everyone, and members usually share a settlement equally. In a mass tort each claimant files individually, so a more serious injury can lead to a larger individual recovery.
How do I know if I qualify?
Each claim has criteria such as the product used, the injury diagnosed and the timing. Our two-minute screening checks the published criteria. A law firm makes the final decision after reviewing your records.
What if I am not sure the product caused my injury?
Choose “not sure” on the form. Whether a product caused an injury is often a question answered from medical records, which a law firm can help obtain.
I already have a lawyer. Can I still submit?
If you are already represented on this claim, please speak to your current lawyer instead. Our screening will tell you this before collecting your contact details.
Deadlines and timing
Is there a deadline to file?
Yes. Every state sets a statute of limitations, often two to three years, and it may start from the date you learned of the injury. Some claims also have court-set deadlines. Use our deadline calculator for an example, and speak with an attorney promptly if you are unsure.
How long does a case take?
Mass tort cases often take one to several years, depending on the litigation stage. Your attorney can give you a realistic timeline for your claim.
How much compensation could I receive?
No one can promise an amount. Compensation depends on the severity of your injury, your medical costs and lost income, and how the litigation resolves. Past results in other cases do not predict yours.
